We're getting married on 12 April 2024 in Palo Alto! We're super excited, and want to share the fun with our friends and family. Because we realize California is not as close to everyone (and the cost can rapidly get out of hand), we'll keep the celebrations in Palo Alto small with some close & closeby family and friends, but we will make sure to also organize a party/reception in both Ohio and the Netherlands to include everyone. We will update the information here as it becomes available.
If you are here, you probably received an invitation and are considering to join. Please let us know, so that we can plan accordingly!
Mom is awesome, she pets me lots and lets me nap on the bed. My food machine is cool too, gives me treats. Best thing about Mom is when she pets me and gives treats.
I used to live in ohio with girlies only but Mom drugged me, put me in a cage, we flew on a big scary car in the sky, then rode a loud train. Hated it, 0/10. Now I have to live with mom and this man who bakes bread, and he pets me too. He bakes, I eat the bread, hoomans get so grumpy when I do that.
One day before we lived all together, hooman-man was up to some sneaky business. Looked like he planned a big surprise for my mom. I think maybe he will get her a rotisserie chicken, that's what I would want. Little did I know, it was all about love, not just treats.
I smelled treats in the air, and being a snack expert, I couldn't resist. Hooman-man, used these very yummy very fancy treats to trick me. He wrapped a shiny thing around my neck. Turns out, it was a so pretty ring! Meow, I was now the star in their story. I wore the ring first ha ha ha mom meow purrrr...
Hooman-man left a special box at the door, and being the nosy cat I am, I sniffed around with my whiskers. Found a note inside, like a love letter or something. Couldn't read it, but could feel the excitement.
When my mom got back, she found the box, got all giggly and weird. Opened it, saw a card with rings on it, and got super excited. Silly mom even noticed something on my neck but thought, 'Nah, can't be the real deal.' She is not very smart sometimes but I am.
She yapped on this strange talking square to hooman-man, lots of talk about hiding and reading cards. Did not listen the hooman language exactly, but it seemed important. Eventually, she got the hint to check my collar. Took her a bit, but she unwrapped the surprise.
She yelled "yes" with excitement, even got me hyped. Couldn't wait, and hooman-man finally showed up down the street. He asked the question again, and she happily said "yes" once more. Love vibes everywhere, and I, Gouda the cat, "accidentally" stole the spotlight. Meow-some, right?
